Hello again,
Unfortunately this week I was informed that I would be leaving Molina
de segura...Truly one of my favorite places in the world. I leave so
many memories and experience that have changed who I am. I will never
forget this little piece of heaven.
Interesting enough, I have been called to serve about 45 minutes away
in Torevieja!! #beach #partycity
I will be serving with Elder Rogers! He had a solid 12 weeks in his
first area Torevieja!
I am very excited to be able to represent The Lord in this part of Spain!
My new address is (Bella Antonia Nº1, 4º, Pta 13 | 03182)
I want to talk a little about change this week.
Sometimes in our life our Father in Heaven gives us a chance to
change. Whether it be a new year, moving to a new house, bringing
another life into the family or changing areas on your mission ;) The
Lord loves when things change in our life! When we are uncomfortable
we are in a stage of humility and a perfect time for the Lord to help
us become the person He wants us to be!
Now He is willing to change us! But the key part is, that we need to
have the desire to change as well! I know as we show the Lord during
these times of change that we want to be more like Him, He will bless
us and mold us into the person that He wants us to be.
I am thankful for this great life we are given to learn and progress.
I hope we all can understand that life is too short, so just do it
now!
I love you all,
Elder Owens

Hello
Hello.
Well this week just kind of flew by! The things I did this week was basically:
We went on splits with the zone leaders in there area because they
needed the help ;)
We also had a zone meeting and talked about being a good leader and a
good companion.
We were working a lot with two family's now!
First, Soledad, she is awesome! She had 5 kids all but one out of the
house and is from Bolivia!
She has a baptism date for the 23rd of this month. She definitely will
be baptized. She has a tone of faith and the desires to learn and
improve!
Second, Luis and Maria! They are a family of 6 and are amazing! It's
the greatest feeling watching them come to church! It's a real
sacrifice that they are making! Their baptism date is for the 7th of
May and sadly I'm not sure if I will be there to watch it but it will
happen!
Sadly the Spanish family dropped us... They will now be attending an
evangelical church.
Still a little bit sore from that one...
I love this area so much! I never want to leave!
Oh also we moved to Archena! We found a cool place there! Finally we
are in our own area!
I hope everyone gets the chance to watch general conference! It's the best!
Sorry this was short! I'll repent!

DOG DID A DOUBLE BACKFLIP!!!
Well I'm sorry if you were suckered in by the subject! There are only
two types of dogs here In Spain, the ones (sleeping) on the side of
the road or the ones hooked to a collar with a Spaniard yanking on the
leash every four seconds. (Which would be the only cause for a double
backflip)
So a little update, I am still in Molina and will be for at least 3ish
more weeks until the end of the transfer. The apartment of 4 Elder are
splitting so Elder Salcedo and I will be living in Archena. I am very
thankful for this because now I will be able to shower for more than 6
seconds.
I feel like I rarely talk about things here in Spain. The thing is,
I'm so used to it here, that nothing seems out of the ordinary. So
that is why I only talk about things that really matter.
Now that we are on the subject of things that matter, I hope you are
all thinking what I'm thinking!!!! GENERAL CONFERENCE!
I definitely feel comfortable saying this has been the greatest week
ever! The words of the general authorities and Apostles are exactly
what we needed to here and apply for the next 6 months!
But really... Listen up...
Even though President Thomas S. Monson did not speak as long as some
people wanted, I testify, will all my heart and sole, that this humble
Man is the Prophet of God; the only person on this earth able to guide
and direct the church of God. If anyone thinks otherwise, I invite you
to think again, because there is not a single person better.
I plea with each and every one of you to listen to the words of every
speaker and act on their words. I promise it will increase every
aspect of your life and give you more happiness.
This is the promise I leave with you. Please have the faith to act.

Subject: Shortest week of my life! But one of the greatest!
Dearest family and friends!
The work is going strong here in Molina de segura! Unfortunately,
because of the time change half of the ward missed church, but it's
all good they will come next week!?
This week has been very interesting! We have seen a lot of
precessions in the streets this week! Which is basically a bunch of
KKK members carrying big statues of Jesus on the cross and other
idols that our church doesn't really "focus on". Other than the
apostasy, it's a super cool experience!
Now that the crazy week is over we are really going to focus on
setting baptism dates with our investigators, we need to do better at
really helping them know the importance of baptism and how it truly
sets our live on the path to eternal life.
The Spanish couple went to Sevilla this week to spend it with there
family; while they were there they wanted to assist a other church of
one of there friends to "be like Joseph smith" and search for the
truth. I'm glad for their faith and willingness to search for the
right church. I can't wait to meet with them this week and talk about
their experiences! I know they will find the answers they are looking
for!
This past Sunday we celebrated the greatest moment in the history of
time; The Saviors resurrection completed the Atonement, and with that,
the salvation of man. It makes me sad that not everyone knows of
this great sacrifice and the marvelous blessings we are give. I will
never fully understand His infinite sacrifice but I will never forget
it! I want to share this message with the world and the gladness it
brings. My plead for you all is to remember Him always, that we might
have His spirit to be with us. We NEED to remember Him, and we will
receive more blessings than we can know.
I love you all and you will always be in my prayers!
