5. Called my sweet mother

I am so thankful for my mother! As I think about it, she showed me
what is true sacrifice. When I was younger I didn't fully understand
the sacrifice that our Savior made, being that it was a sacrifice made
back in the meridian of time and something I just simply didn't
understand.
So that is why my mother means so much to me. She was someone I could
physically watch, someone I could learn from, someone who could teach
me how to act, live and treat others.
As I grew up I found it easier to just worry about myself and just do
things I wanted to do. But thankfully I had a sweet mother to guide me
and help me understand that there is only one way... The way of Our
Savior.

His perfect example sets the straight and narrow path, and I will be
forever grateful because my mother taught me to follow him. My mother
is the perfect example of sacrifice! I know she gave everything for
her family.

I know my Father lives and that He has a perfect plan for me. I will
forever be in debt to Him for many things! But most of all for giving
me my mother.

Love
Elder Owens
