Hello my wonderful friends and family,
This week was a pretty simple yet amazing week. I unfortunately said
goodbye to Elder Rogers this week as he went off to the other side of
the country. But on the bright side, said hello to Elder Riddle who
came from the other side of the country!
Elder Riddle is from Salt Lake City, Utah! (Surprisingly my first
companion from the factory)
He is a machine! First day here he saved all his hair off his head!
Also the boldest missionary I have ever met!
It's pretty sad... sometimes I read to myself what I wrote and is
sounds horrible!! It's not like I was good at English when I left, now
it's 10x worse!! Please have patience!!!
This week we found ourselves hitting the street more than I ever have
on my mission! If this keeps up nobody will see me when it gets dark
outside!
Fortunately we have been working with some youth and there are two
boys who are thinking about baptism! The only thing that stands in the
way is there parents! It's truly amazing to me that only if the
parents knew how much of a blessing this would be for her kids they
would have no problem with them getting baptized!
The ward is definitely getting more excited about the work! We will
have members come up to us on Sunday and tell us cool missionary
experiences they had that week! We hope to excite them more by doing
some cool activities!
Agency!!! Agency!!! AGENCY!!!!!
This whole week I had the great opportunity to witness the down side
of agency. I feel like we did everything in our power this week to
make sure everything went as planned but every time that the outcome
depended on the agency of someone else they always chose to fail us.
Every stinking time! Hopefully this next week it will be better!
Hopefully we all can be better with our choices as well!
Love you all,
Elder Owens!
